Donor Eggs and Sperm

Through IVF Australia, donor eggs and sperm are options and available. Dr Kong will guide you with the process.

Surrogacy

Surrogacy is a form of assisted reproductive technology (ART) where a woman (the surrogate) offers to carry a baby through pregnancy on behalf of another person or couple and then return the baby to the intended parent(s) once it is born.

Surrogacy is a highly complex process, and there are many important steps to ensure that both parties make the best decisions –  including extensive counselling, psychiatric assessment and independent legal advice. IVF Australia’s surrogacy program can support you throughout this journey.

In surrogacy, an embryo is created using an egg and sperm produced by the intended parent(s) (or donors), and is transferred into the surrogate’s uterus. The surrogate has no genetic link to the child. Her eggs cannot be used to conceive the child.

Fertility Preservation

Dr Karen Kong offers a fertility preservation service to protect and preserve your fertility for the future. Fertility preservation options for women include freezing eggs, freezing embryos, freezing ovarian tissue, and medications which may protect the ovaries from toxic chemotherapy drugs. Fertility preservation options for men include freezing sperm and freezing testicular tissue.
